Alice has been a Danbury
resident since 2006 and joined the DDTC
in 2008. She is now retired from
the fields of advertising and law.
She can be reached at
Francis is a Constable, Korean War Veteran and past
president of the Danbury War Memorial. He is also a
member of the Catholic War Veterans, the Korean War
Veterans Association and the Veterans of Foreign
Wars. He was a Recipient of the Danbury Old Timers
Sports Award and served in the United States Air
Force, 1951-1955.
Tom
has served on the Democratic
Town Committee for more than ten years. In that
time he has worked to register
new voters, encourage people to
volunteer on campaigns and
increased participation in
neighborhood and community based
activities and programs.
In
addition to serving on the Town
Committee, Tom also serves as a
Councilman in the Fourth Ward
and was elected by the
Democratic Caucus as their
Minority Leader. He has served
as Chairman of many major
Council Committees addressing
issues ranging from municipal
water safety, neighborhood
blight, to the placement of
heart defibrillators in public
buildings. Tom also serves as an
Assistant Attorney General for
the State of Connecticut.
A Captain in
the U.S. Army Reserves Judge
Advocate General’s Corps (JAG),
Tom has been a leader on
addressing issues affecting
Veterans, Service Members and
their families. He led the
successful effort to pass a
Council Resolution supporting
greater tax relief for
veterans and then lobbied for
passage of Public Act 03-44
allowing municipalities to
provide greater property tax
relief to veterans.
Tom has consistently opposed
municipal tax giveaways to big
corporate developers which
burden residential tax payers
with the bill for these
corporate perks. Tom continues
to push for greater funding for
our Police and Fire Departments
and for new laws to stop growing
neighborhood nuisances.
Tom is active with many civic
and social organizations in
Danbury as well as with the
Connecticut Bar Association and
in 2003 he received the
Connecticut Law Tribune’s
"Impact Award" for his service
to the Bar and the community at
large.
Rose graduated
DHS and WCSU with a BS and MS.
Rose has been teaching since 1984, at
St. Joseph School in Danbury from 1984
to1988 in Grade 2 and Grades K from
1988 to present at St. Mary's School in
Bethel. Rose is married with two
children.
