Tom Saadi is the current Democratic Leader on the Danbury City Council, he serves as Chief of Staff and General Counsel for the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs and as Major in the U.S. Army Reserve. He has voted against tax increases for Danbury residents while laws and policies to help local responsible businesses grow. He fought to protect neighborhoods from onerous and irresponsible developments that would negatively impact safety, property values and the quality of life the 4th Ward. Tom has served on many Council Committees addressing issues ranging from public safety, neighborhood blight, Veteran and Senior tax relief and education.
Tom is active with many civic, social and Veterans organizations in Greater Danbury and serves on Immaculate High School and Portuguese Cultural Center advisory Boards. Tom is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University and Quinnipiac College School of Law and he and his wife Valerie Ventura-Saadi have twin children, Sabrina and Jacob.
