Farley Santos

Farley grew up in Danbury, attended Danbury Public Schools and graduated from Henry Abbott Technical High School.  He is an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager with Savings Bank of Danbury and will graduate from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management in the spring of 2018.

Farley believes in giving back to the community that has given him so much.  He has volunteered with many local non-profit organizations such as United Way and Special Olympics of Connecticut and is a current Board Member, Mentor and Finance Committee Chair and Treasurer with the Danbury Schools and Business Collaborative which is our local school based mentoring program.  He is also a Volunteer Teacher, Company Coordinator, and Community Board Member with Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut.

Farley is running because he believes that our children are our most precious resource and providing them the best possible education is our greatest obligation.  He will be an advocate for students, families and educators and will focus on addressing weaknesses and developing the many strengths in our school system.  He will do this by working across party lines and by applying new and dynamic solutions to address issues such as class room over-crowding and funding cuts and will focus on the core function of educating our youth in a safe and stable environment.

He is a parishioner of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and participates yearly in the procession of the Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres and the Portuguese Day parade.

Farley believes that it’s time for a new generation of Danbury Hatters to step up to lead our beloved Danbury. He is married to the love of his life, Kathleen (Verissimo) and they have a precious 4 year old daughter, Khloë.
