Serving on the City Council since 2003
Presently holds the position of Minority Legislature Leader/Chairman of the Council Audit Committee Appointed by Mayor Boughton as the liaison to the Board of Education working with them on many education projects. Fred also serves as the Chairperson of St. Peter’s Church Council for the last 6yrs.
He retired from the Danbury Fire Dept. after 30yrs. of service during which time he was appointed the Communications Supervisor and he then designed and implemented the present day 911 emergency phone system for the city of Danbury. He has been honored by the Danbury Old Timers Assoc. and has also received the Carnegie Mellon Award for rescuing an 18yr old boy from a burning home on Mountainville Avenue. Fred is a past member of the Danbury Lions Club and also works along with the Long Ridge Rd. Assoc. on many of their projects keeping the area in good shape along the roadway.
Fred is a graduate of St, Peter’s School and Danbury High School. Along with his wife Mary he is a proud Father, Grandfather and Great Grand-Father which keeps them very busy. He pledges to continue to work for all of Danbury including the downtown area, roadwork, jobs and especially education.
