Tim Gaburungyi – Candidate for City Council at Large

Tim Gaburungyi has called Danbury home for more than a decade, where he settled with his family after an international career in the hospitality industry that took him throughout Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Today, Tim is a technology professional and leader with New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center where he is in charge of supporting business objectives with real-world economic impact. In his role, Tim also serves as a mentor and trainer to young Americans aspiring to a career in Technology. He has devoted significant energy and attention to the not-for-profit Ugandan North American Association (UNAA) and he has volunteered as a Soccer Coach with the Danbury Youth Soccer Club. Like his running mate, Tim is also an avid photographer. A first generation American born in Uganda, Tim has lived through experiences that ensure a true appreciation for political freedoms, personal liberty and human rights. Thus, he has kept abreast of current affairs and issues at local, nation and international levels. Tim is very excited about the opportunity to serve in elective office on the City Council.
