Wilson Hernandez – Candidate for City Council at Large

Wilson is running for City Council At Large. He immigrated to the United States from Ecuador and has lived in the great city of Danbury since the year 2000. Wilson has a history of serving the Ecuadorian Civic Center as President, Vice President and Treasurer. He has also been on the Board of Directors for the Association of Religious Communities (ARC) for more than 10 years. As a business owner of Mitad del Mundo restaurant in Danbury, he has been feeding and serving the community for the past 19 years.

“I am running to serve our community,” he said. “I firmly believe that a diverse city like Danbury needs to have a City Council that reflects our diversity. The immigrant and Latino community needs to be represented.”

As he does in his everyday life, Wilson encourages every citizen to get involved and engaged in civic duties to the best of his/her capacity.
